The rain ticked a rhytm on the roof. I dreamt my first plastic dreams. Colourful and light, in every shape possible. Undestroyable.
Together with a group of international artists, I walked as a Walking Librarian through Belgium. While walking, I embroidered my thoughts, other peoples' stories and random events and images in the inside of my 3 piece walking suit. This weblog gives a small insight in the Sideways experience and the project that followed after it: a 4 day walk from my house in Amsterdam to the Metaal Kathedraal in Utrecht where artists are building an 8th continent out of plastic.

Plastic dreams
My first night at the 8th continent. After I soaked in a steaming bathtub outside in the woods behind the Metaal Kathedraal I slept under the church's wooden arches surrounded by shiny plastic. Over my head six giant plastic fish were watching over me. Earlier that evening I had seen them float through the air, slowly exploring their new territory.
The rain ticked a rhytm on the roof. I dreamt my first plastic dreams. Colourful and light, in every shape possible. Undestroyable.
